If your cat is expecting kittens you are in for a very special and exciting time.
It's also a time when extra care and attention needs to be given to the expecting mum.If you think your cat is pregnant, you should consult your veterinarian for advice. During pregnancy, she will need more food to allow for the growth of her unborn kittens. She will slowly increase the amount of food she is eating and during the last two weeks of her nine-week pregnancy, she may be eating as much as twice her normal ration of food. Extra feeding needs to continue until the kittens are weaned, then food intake can gradually be cut back to the cat's normal amount.
