If your cat has not been vaccinated, visit your vet as soon as possible. Vaccination protocols are undergoing review and are currently annual, but some vets may only vaccinate every couple of years depending on risk and benefit.

Unless you are planning to breed your cat, both male and female kittens can be desexed at about six months of age, although many cats are desexed much earlier. There is little difference between male and female cats once they have been neutered - both will make affectionate, home-loving pets.
