Anne Raymond has been part of Mars Petcare Australia since 1996, and her passion for animals has carried through into her role as Breeder Manager for South Australia and Northern Territory.

Anne lives with husband Garth and daughter Kate on 10 acres near Gawler at the gateway of the Barossa Valley where the Valache German Shorthaired Pointer family reside. An English Springer Spaniel, a Dobermann, four horses and four cats make up the remainder of the four-footed component of the household.

Anne’s favourite cat is a three-year-old Scottish Shorthair named Hamish, whose quirky character and adventures keep everyone amused. The other felines are Simba and Nala, 11-year-old littermates from the Animal Welfare League, and Rex, a very large and friendly Chinchilla Cross.

The group of Raymond ‘cougars’ have the job of guarding the dog free zone in the courtyard from any mice that may try to venture inside and staring loftily from the pergola down at the dogs.
