– AWLQLD Mission Statement
Cat re-homing has taken on new proportions in Queensland
since WHISKAS® formed a partnership with the Animal
Welfare League of Queensland (AWLQLD) late in 2001.
To date, this relationship has been one of the most
successful of the WHISKAS® sponsored cat re-homing
programs with the number of Queensland cats finding new
homes increasing by more than 127 per cent since it
began.
The AWLQLD is a non-profit charitable organisation with a
wide variety of purebred and interesting cross breeds of

the lort smith animal hospital
WHISKAS® is helping needy cats and kittens throughout
Victoria find loving homes by working with the Lort Smith
Animal Hospital.
The Lort Smith Animal Hospital was established in the
1930s, as a non-profit charity to provide veterinary care
to people unable to pay full veterinary fees and to improve
the welfare of many owned, stray and neglected animals.
The hospital currently attends to some 90,000 cases
annually and is staffed by a highly trained and dedicated
team. None of this important work would be possible if it
was not for the generous people who continue to support
the Lort Smith Animal Hospital through donations, bequests
and encouragement.
Although still in its infancy, hundreds of cats and kittens
of all ages and breeds have already found new homes thanks
to this special partnership between WHISKAS and the Lort
Smith Animal Hospital. You can find out more on how to
adopt a cat or to make a donation by clicking on the link
