Hi there
I have a Burmese who does this now and then and I use a squirt bottle which I have next to the bed, and when she is naughty like that she gets a squirt, and soon settles
Goodluck

If you have a small crate, put him in the bedroom in the crate and cover with a blanket, you could also get a cat calming collar and put it on him at night. Make sure there is a small litter tray and water available in the crate...

My Miss Molly does this every morning unless I'm up during the night (for the toilet or a drink) and put some (wet) food in her bowl. I also have the squirt bottle next to my side of the bed. If I don't its the same time every morning that she starts by scratching my side of the bed then the floor. She will go on the the bed head and push everything down onto my head and if that doesn't make me move she will go onto my dressing table and start pushing everything onto the floor. As soon as you move she runs to the door happy that 'you are up'.

My 4 year old cat was doing this and the only way to stop it was to do what I call "controll miaowing". Basically, as hard as it was, I ignored him and after a few nights, he got the message. He does 'relapse' occasionally, but a couple of days ignoring him is better than being woken at ungodly hours of the morning. I also feed him at a regular time (usually before I go to bed so his tummy is full) and also leave out some toys for him - just in case. Ping pong balls are fantastic. Good luck!

My two cats do the same, run and jump over me when its close to the time I get up, because thats when i feed them.. I also have a water bottle, and i dont even need to spray them any more I just shake it and the sound of the water makes them stop. Water is a great training tool.. ive used it for all my cats and they still love me :D :D:D

Mine does the same so we went and brought automatic cat feeders I can guarantee they play up because they want to be fed the automatic feeders have three compartments and (they are battery operated)you can time what time they pop open so if you set it before they play up they will eat and come back to bed - it works for us!
