Kitten habits

Your kitten can develop habits very quickly and, often, it can be quite hard to get her out of them. Especially where food is concerned. Some kittens nibble throughout the day. Others will only eat at fixed times and start to ‘miaow’ loudly when their usual feeding time has passed and there’s nothing in their bowl.

The same is true for sleeping habits. Your kitten will choose to sleep where she likes, usually a bed made up with a blanket, or a great hiding place like a clean, old jumper. If you don’t want to upset and anger your kitten, make sure these cosy nests are available all day.

Stroking your kitten can soon raise expectations too. Whether you choose to stroke her in the morning when you wake up, or in the evening when you come home from work, she'll remember when it's supposed to be petting time. So make sure you remember too. Otherwise your four-legged friend could end up being even more demanding.

In a nutshell, if you want to keep her happy, keep to her routine.
